The Great Adventure Challenge
Want to be involved with a team activity that requires strategy, endurance and determination? Want to raise funds for seriously ill children while having fun? Then, look no further… The Great Adventure Challenge is for you.
Back in 2009, this fun event has been designed for work colleagues and friends who have a thirst for competition and the outdoors.
In the follow up year of the challenge, a maximum of twenty teams of eight (four on the course at anytime) will navigate through this exciting race course, covering a range of disciplines such as Mountain Biking, Trail running, Kayaking and Coasteering. Along the way, mystery tasks will confront teams, testing the limits of both the brain and the body.
Racing over 60kms on the NSW Central Coast, there will be transition areas for competitors and their support crew to recharge and reflect together before moving on to the next section of the course. Competitors will have the opportunity to learn about their strengths and weaknesses while challenging themselves to new heights across the bush terrain.
On completion of the challenge, competitors and supporters will have a huge sense of achievement, both from a racing perspective and from fundraising for a great cause – Starlight. And the winning team? They will be presented with the prestigious Great Adventure Challenge Corporate Cup.
The funds raised by competitors during The Great Adventure Challenge will go to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, helping to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children.
