Great Adventure Challenge - Raises over $260K for Starlight

Last October saw the return of the Great Adventure Challenge being held for the first time in Jervis Bay, NSW. Now in its fourth year, the event continues to grow and expand attracting the corporate world to down tools and run about in the bush in the name of charity. Last year saw 29 teams complete the stunning course whilst collectively raising a staggering $260,000 for the Starlight Children's Foundation. Whilst "Nature's Way" won the overall event, separate recognition should also go to Bulla Dairy Foods for raising an impressive $40,000!

With total raised funds, since the events inception, now exceeding $625,000 the plan for 2012 is to try and reach our goal of $1,000,000 within five years. Highest Fundraiser Awards announced!

The Great Adventure Challenge would like to congratulate Bulla Diary Foods on achieving the 2011 Highest Company Fundraiser Award! Two teams comprised “Bulla The Cream Team” and collectively raised an incredible $40,098 through their involvement with the 2011 Great Adventure Challenge – not only the highest Company fundraiser in 2011 but the highest ever fundraising total achieved by a single company in the events four year history!

Congratulations also to Team Westpac on achieving the 2011 Highest Individual Team Fundraiser Award with a fundraising total of $25,255!

Sincere thanks to Bulla Diary Foods, Westpac and all teams participating in the 2011 Great Adventure Challenge and fundraising for Starlight – the staggering $260,000 raised by all teams in 2011 is vital for the ongoing delivery of Starlight’s programs throughout Australia. Together with your help we continue to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families. Thank you!
