The following items are to be worn or carried during the event as a minimum:

Map	Mobile phone in a waterproof bag
Compass (two per team)	Waterproof Jacket per team member (breathable fabric, tape sealed and with a hood)
Whistle per team member	Drink, at least two litres per team member is recommended
Basic first aid kit (one crepe bandage, adhesive tape, wound dressing and six adhesive dressings.	Pen (for marking map)
Emergency blanket (space blanket)	Mountain bike (inc pump and repair kit)
	Cycle helmet

Optional (recommended):
Other appropriate clothing and footwear, cap, sock protectors, backpack, food, additional water, appropriate glasses/ eyewear, waterproof map case/ contact, sunscreen, insulation mats, micro towel, plastic bags to waterproof equipment, marker pens, wristwatches, Paracetamol, teddy bear, duct tape.
